Freeman’s: Freeman’s is our number one pick because of the setting. It is tucked away in quite possibly the most charming alley in NYC (said no one ever) and feels more like an isolated cabin than a restaurant (in a good way). The cuisine is classic American and interior reflects a rustic yet trendy vibe via plaid blankets, wooden tables, and antler décor. Also, last time we checked they had a fixed price menu for Thanksgiving, so there you go.

Bubby’s: If you can’t make it to your real bubby’s for Thanksgiving, this will certainly make do. That's because it knocks turkey day essentials out of the park--comfort food and pies. And believe it or not, Bubby’s first opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1990 making it a natural fit. PS their highline spot will offer a full family style dinner on Thanksgiving day with turkey, all the trimmings, and pie (obvi).  

Cookshop: Head over to Cookshop before or after a nice stroll on the Highline. Its menu is simple American with a focus on local, seasonal availability and the vibe is laid back yet energetic. Honestly, what keeps us coming back time and time again are their addictive breads, buns, and pastry boards to perfectly kick start each meal. But they also have a solid fixed price Thanksgiving dinner with a range of starters, main courses, and seasonal sides to choose from.

The Breslin at the Ace Hotel: The Breslin is a staple for meat lovers. Think outstanding pork chop, spaetzle, and a lamb burger that is constantly voted as #1 in the city. They're also pretty good at serving holiday dinners and will be offering an all day, 3 course and a la carte menu for Thanksgiving with an optional wine pairing. NYT editor Sam Sifton described the environment as "Hogwarts for Hipsters," need we say more?
